Ryan Braun returned to Miller Park on Wednesday to visit his teammates in an attempt to make himself seem like less of a lying sack of sh*t.
Braun’s Brew Crew buddies had to pretend to be happy to see him,of course, while also sorely missing Braun’s steroid-inflated stats with the Brewers sitting 20.5 games out of first place in the National League Central, a far cry from the days of Braun hitting meaningful home runs in September instead of making PR orchestrated clubhouse visits.
Braun’s appearance, coupled with the return of injured former All-Star Corey Hart, forced manager Ron Roenicke to deliver the following insightful quote:
“I really like these guys,” Roenicke said, according to the Journal-Sentinel. “Not only are they really great players, but I really like them.”
Still no word on whether or not Braun will face the press deliver a Giambi-like press conference, but at least he is trying to seem like less of a douche.
