The Lehigh Valley Ironpigs and Pawtucket Red Sox (AAA) will pay tribute to first responders during their ‘Heroes Night’ game on April 26th by wearing the specialty police & firefighter jerseys you see in the photo above. The Ironpigs will be representing Allentown police, while the PawSox will honor Pawtucket firefighters with their respective jerseys.
The Ironpigs will also host local police, fire and EMS personnel in a 90-minute softball contest prior to game between Lehigh Valley and Pawtucket, as well as several other tributes to first responders throughout the night.
The specialty jerseys worn by the two teams will be auctioned off during that night’s game with proceeds benefitting Cops ‘n’ Kids Lehigh Valley, the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown and IronPigs Charities.
