The Seattle Mariners are all about having those pearly whites looking good for Opening Day. As a result, manager Lloyd McClendon adjusted his spring training lineup for Wednesday’s game against Oakland in order to ensure Rickie Weeks can make his dentist appointment on time.

McClendon did not specify if Weeks was having special work done at the dentist or if he was just getting a nice semi-annual cleaning, but it was important enough to bat Weeks leadoff, giving him the maximum number of plate appearances before he had to dip out:
