Javier Baez, the Cubs’ prospect who is going to eventually lead the organization to a World Series in 2030, made his MLB debut last night. After going hitless in his first few attempt at the plate, Baez connected in the 12th inning for his first career hit in the big leagues. And oh yeah, it was the game-winning home run, no big deal.
