Giancarlo Stanton is a grown ass man, and continues to hit home runs like one. On Saturday Stanton launched a ridiculous 478 foot home run at Marlins Park. The home run however wasn’t the best highlight as a fan stole a little of Stanton’s shine by somehow catching the blast barehanded with just his right hand. You can see it above in .GIF form, or check it out below in video form if you would prefer. Whatever way you view it, it is seriously impressive.
The young man who snagged the home run is Ryan Carlos Mont from West Palm Beach, according to the MLB. When asked about the catch he replied with the following:
“I didn’t think it could get this high up, to be honest with you. I thought we had a better chance of catching one from a player while they were practicing, than of catching a home run.”
