It is hard to be mad at the Cubs scoreboard operator for falling asleep during Tuesday’s game against the Mets at Wrigley. The game somehow ended up being a pitchers duel on early, and it appears the scoreboard operator may have had one too many at the ‘Cubbie Bear’ the night before and just needed a quick nap. He did what any of you would have done, he went ahead and took that nap. Unfortunately for him the announcers for SportsNet New York didn’t do him any favors with their “he will be fired” comment.
