“From the extreme high, to the extreme low,” is the only way to describe this situation. Carlos Gomez, of the Brewers, crushed a ball which was a few feet from being called a home run, and instead of paying attention to the umpires, he rounded the bases thinking he’s hit a home run only to find out it was a foul ball somewhere between third base and home plate. He went on to strike out during the at bat. I hope someone in the dugout gave Carlos a big hug.
