Miami Marlins Optimists
We’ve seen this before: Marlins make some intriguing offseason moves, invest in young talent and bask in the glory of optimistic predictions before falling flat on their face.
Yes, a lot of unexpected things have gone wrong in Miami this year but the division champs predictions were ridiculous. Their adequate stats aren’t reflective of their 31-46 record, one that has all but eliminated them from playoff contention and while optimism is always refreshing in sports, a wait-and-see approach would’ve been more responsible with this team than declaring them legit contenders back in March.
