A’s pitcher Evan Scribner made the mistake of trying the same trick twice on Adrian Beltre during Thursday’s A’s-Rangers game.
To put things into proper context, Scribner thoroughly owned Beltre with this pitch.

So Scribner’s decision to immediately toss a second slow-moving curveball was slightly understandable given that the first one that he threw made Beltre look like he was auditioning for a figure-skating gig. However, Beltre wouldn’t be fooled the second time around as the Rangers slugger connected on the pitch with his knee going to the ground for a solo home run.

The best part is I’m still not sure which pitch his teammates enjoyed more; the one that had Beltre spinning in the wind or the one that had him rounding the bases.
