Jack Carder was born with no fingers on his right hand. Recently, nonprofit organization e-NABLE and Siena College physics students were able to make Jack a cool 3-D printed prosthetic hand.
The hand was inspired by Iron Man because Jack loves superheros and it even comes equipped with a glow-in-the-dark laser.
On Tuesday, Jack got a chance to throw out the first pitch at a Triple-A Columbus Clippers game while he sported his Iron Man hand. It was a heartwarming moment.
Impressively, the students who worked on Jack’s hand spent twenty hours a week for a whole month to make Jack’s prosthetic. In the end, it only cost them $50 to make it.
