This past Saturday HBO boxing returned with Andre Ward defending his title against Edwin Rodriguez. Rodriguez is known to fight a bit dirty and at the start of the 4th he got Ward in a headlock. Jack Reiss, one of the best boxing refs out there, tried to separate the two but was met with a left hook for his troubles.
Reiss then deducted two points from each fighter, made a recommendation to the commission that both fighters get fined and then warned both fighters if they didn’t start behaving he would have them disqualified without pay.
