Thanks to IFC’s hit show Portlandia, the general public has been made more aware of the absurd quirkiness of Portland, Oregon. Turns out, Fred Armisen & Co. don’t even begin to scratch the surface of the weirdness in Rip City, as photographer Kirk Crippens proves in his latest photo series, “Portraitlandia”, which captures iconic citizens (in Portland’s quirky way, of course) around town. Naturally, a few of his subjects have also appeared on the IFC show. Here’s hoping more of these characters pop up on future episodes.
