Tuesday night marked the first time that Michael Jordan had ever attended a live tennis match and Roger Federer ensured that MJ got his money’s worth.
The tennis legend and basketball icon had already collaborated on Federer’s tennis shoes for the tournament so Federer put on a little show for the crowd and MJ in his fresh, new kicks. With control of the match, Federer began to look for opportunities to show off his “tweener” shot. He got one and even though it didn’t officially “count”, it should have ended the match right then and there.
Jordan, for one, highly approved of the shot.
Federer hit his opponent on the backside with a no look “tweener” in a match that was pretty much already decided. There needs to be some kind of mercy rule instituted when shit like this happens.
