Turns out, Lorde sounded exactly like Lorde before she hit it big as Lorde. The New Zealand hit maker did some vocal work for a band called And They Were Masked under her pre-stage name, Ella Yelich O’Connor. The track “Piece of Mind” is fairly prog-rockish but Lorde makes it work.
