Former UCLA basketball player and lead plaintiff in O’Bannon v. NCAA Ed O’Bannon continues to drum up strong opinions and strong criticism. The man responsible for the massive antitrust class action lawsuit against the intercollegiate athletics governing body continues to push for reform and benefits for student-athletes whose images and likenesses were used for commercial purposes.
He has been extremely vocal with his criticism of the NCAA and continues to make headlines, especially during popular periods of college basketball and football. O’Bannon is appearing in a series of Kingsford Charcoal advertisements and promotions during March Madness and many people aren’t thrilled with him, including these Twitter reactions:
