The 8-9 games in the NCAA Tournament rarely get as much attention as other games, with many thinking the winner will simply lose to the No. 1 seed in two days or that there’s no potential for upset therefore not as much excitement. Wrong. The Purdue-Cincinnati game on Thursday night was phenomenal.
After the Boilermakers led for most of the game, the Bearcats battled back and had the opportunity to send things to overtime. Instead of attempting a contested low percentage three-pointer, sophomore guard Troy Caupain drove to the bucket and threw up this puppy that seemed to roll around the rim for a million hours:
