PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy is of course best known for his undeniable skills on the golf course. But after his big victory at the Zurich Classic alongside partner Shane Lowry, he did his best rockstar impersonation while indulging in some celebratory karaoke for the fans in attendance.

McIlroy and Lowry were able to come away with a win in the Zurich Classic, one of the only professional golf events featuring two-man partner groups. They did so in dramatic fashion, besting the pairing of Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in a playoff to take home the win.

It’s a big win for McIlroy individually, particularly because it is his 25th on the PGA Tour in his career. No player on the PGA Tour has reached 25 victories on tour since Vijay Singh and Phil Mickelson did so all the way back in 2005.

Naturally, McIlroy and Lowry were in the mood to celebrate after their win. And McIlroy in particular did so by signing the hit song ‘Don’t Stop Believin” by the popular band Journey.

It seemed like both the fans in attendance for the event in New Orleans and McIlroy really got into the moment, which you can hear with the sheer volume in the video of his signing above.

McIlroy isn’t always the most popular golfer to some. But even his biggest critics had trouble criticizing him for this awesome moment with the fans.

For McIlroy, this kind of success at this event could certainly lead to some great play as we get closer to the rest of the Major season.

We of course have The Open Championship, the U.S. Open, and the PGA Championship quickly approaching this summer. So it will certainly be interesting to see whether he can continue this stretch of great play into those events.
