Donald Trump and President Joe Biden traded barbs over their golf games at last week’s presidential debate.

Biden at one point claimed to have a +6 handicap, before correcting himself a few seconds later to say his handicap was actually +6.

That wasn’t good enough for former president Trump.

“That’s the biggest lie—that he’s a six handicap—of all,” Trump said after the debate.

While we may never know who would win a hypothetical matchup on the links, Bryson DeChambeau, the most recent U.S. Open champion, is attempting to make it happen.

“Let’s settle this whole handicap debate. I’ll host the golf match on my YouTube channel,” DeChambeau wrote on Twitter, the social media platform currently marketed as X.

Neither candidate immediately responded to the offer.

“I just won two club championships—not even senior, two regular club championships,” Trump said at the debate. “To do that, you have to be quite smart, and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way. And I do it. He doesn’t do it. He can’t hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match; he can’t hit a ball 50 yards.”

Biden said he’d be open to playing Trump if he carried his own bags.

“I told you before, I’m happy to play golf with you if you carry your own bag. Think you can do it?”

Biden and Trump are currently tied in polls.
