8. Steve Yeager, Catcher, Los Angeles Dodgers
Yeager, a backup to Mike Scoscia, shared the 1981 World Series MVP Award with Ron Cey, a six-time All-Star, and Pedro Guerrero, a five-time All-Star.
Yeager collected only four hits in the Dodgers 1981 Fall Classic victory over the New York Yankees, but two of them happened to be home runs. Yeager hit the eventual game-winning dinger in Game 5 when he went back-to-back with fellow MVP Pedro Guerrero in the seventh inning off of former Cy Young winner Ron Guidry.
