16. Astros Sweep Angels Despite 100 Million Dollar Difference In Payroll
In June, the Houston Astros played their best ball of the first half, defeating the disappointing LA Angels in four straight contests. The Astros came into Anaheim and took it to the high-powered Angels, only surrendering 8 runs over the four game series. It got so bad that the Angels called a 25-minute closed-door meeting after the Astros swept ’em.
