Brian Scalabrine’s fascinating career as an NBA enigma on the court is over, but his coaching career in pro basketball is just getting started.
The 35-year old Scalabrine was named an assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, news broken by Golden State head coach Mark Jackson on Twitter.
Congrats to @Scalabrine! My newest assistant coach! Welcome my man! #Warriors

Scalabrine was offered a similar position with the Chicago Bulls, the team “White Mamba” finished his playing career with, last offseason but turned it down in favor of a Celtics broadcasting gig with Comcast SportsNet New England.
