In a scene right out of a movie, Ryan Howard delivered on a young fan’s request for him to hit a home run. Prior to the Friday night match-up between the Phillies and the Marlins, Ryan met a young blind fan on the field named A.J., who has Leber’s congential amaurosis. During their meeting A.J. handed Howard a bracelet for him to wear and asked him if he could hit a home run for him. Not only did Howard wear the bracelet throughout the game, but he also roped a solo home run to right field in the second inning. The Phillies would go on to beat the Marlins by a score of 4-1.
