Baseball season is right around the corner and if you’re looking for a weird way to celebrate the new season, boy, do we ever have the thing for you.
The New York Mets donated over 130 game-used baseballs to wearable artist Jennifer Hitchner, who then created a dress made entirely from the balls. I’m not sure it’s going to be the most sought-after item at Fashion Week in New York, but it’s definitely…interesting.
The dress is even signed by several Mets players, including Matt Harvey.
If you’ve ever dreamt of owning a dress made entirely out of used balls (gross) then you, my friend, may be in luck. Hitchner and the Mets are raffling off the dress at Spring Training games this year with the proceeds from ticket sales to Port St. Lucie Little League.
I’m not sure why the heck you’d ever want this thing in your closet, but at least it’s serving a noble cause.
