While closing out this year’s Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, an actual meteor appeared in the sky during Modest Mouse’s set. Even stranger was that the meteor flies by while the band plays their track “Dark Center of the Universe.”
According to The American Meteor Society and NASA, the meteor did actually appear in the sky over Texas and was “at least four feet wide, weighed about 4,000 pounds and burned five times brighter than a full moon.” According to ABC World News Tonight, NASA has confirmed the meteor crashed in Central Texas.
