Very sad news to report in the world of music. Tommy Marth, a saxophone player for The Killers, was found dead on Monday at his Las Vegas home. The death of the 33-year old has been ruled a suicide, according to reports.
“Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There’s a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy,” said a statement from The Killers, via Las Vegas Weekly.
Marth played sax on the pop-rock band’s global tour in 2008-2009, and can also be heard on the group’s albums Sam’s Town(2006) and Day & Age (2008).
