The surreal nature of this year’s Super Bowl coverage (even compared to past years) have been ripe for ribbing and Jon Stewart definitely didn’t disappoint on Thursday night’s episode.
Stewart brilliantly tore into, well, every single “scandal” that has surrounded the Super Bowl from Deflate-gate (“I’m going to go with the Ball-ocaust”) to Marshawn Lynch’s choice of hat (“Classic NFL to be more worried about what’s happening on top of a player’s head than the damage that’s going on inside it.”) to the NFL’s draconian fine system.
Yes, Jon Stewart managed to skewer a whole week’s worth of Super Bowl coverage in ten minutes. That’s impressive, even for The Daily Show.
Somehow, Stewart even managed to get in a Ray Rice reference. You better believe that The Daily Show held nothing back.
