The wait is over. According to MTV, Paris Hilton has reportedly signed on the dotted line with Lil’ Wayne’s Ca$h Money Records and will release her second album this summer.
The much anticipated follow-up to 2006’s self-titled debut is set to drop this summer. One has to assume Hilton has spent most of her seven year hiatus writing her new album. The album promises to be an emotionally charged piece of art that really ponders life’s big questions, but don’t take it from us.
“I think a lot of people don’t know that music is my passion since I was a little girl,” the “Stars Are Blind” singer told MTV News last year. “I’m very musically talented. This is more my thing [musically on this album], more of a club scene, more dance.”
We all knew Paris was the talented twin. Her groundbreaking hit, Stars Are Blind left the music world, for lack of a better word, starstruck. Somehow the smash hit never earned Paris any hardware, but I’m sure the Grammy’s will rectify that mistake in 2014. By releasing her album in 2013, a year that has already seen some extraordinary bands release much anticipated albums, Hilton shows she is not easily intimidated.
I’m sure I speak for all of you when I say, we can’t wait to see what Hilton has in store for us this summer.
