Comedian David Burd, also known as the totally legitimate rapper Lil Dicky, set out on a mission to make the most epic rap video possible while spending as little money as possible. Appropriately called “$ave Dat Money,” Burd was pretty successful in his mission thanks to some help from Rich Homie Quan, Fetty Wap, T-Pain, Kevin Durant, Mark Cuban, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Galzer of Broad City fame, Hannibal Buress and the generosity of some rich old people (to name a few).
Also, Burd’s flow is surprisingly decent. As far as gimmick videos go, “$ave Dat Money” is a fantastically well-rounded package of addictive Fetty Wap hooks, luxurious location shots, awesome guest appearances and shoe-horned promotions.
