After oxygen, gravity is something very, very critical that we humans take for granted. The upcoming movie Gravity really makes you appreciate not floating off into oblivion. This sci-fi thriller shows astronauts played by George Clooney and Sandra Bullock gracefully working in a peaceful orbit when a chaotic space object smashes into their space shuttle. Next thing Sandra Bullock knows is that she is helplessly flung into the obscurity of space.
There is already buzz around the film with an overwhelmingly glowing review by legendary director James Cameron, “I was stunned, absolutely floored,” he says. “I think it’s the best space photography ever done, I think it’s the best space film ever done, and it’s the movie I’ve been hungry to see for an awful long time.”
Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity rockets into theaters on October 4th.
