How is this even possible?! We just got RTJ2! Whatever, I’m happy with it because the world needs more Run The Jewels.
Last night in London during an event at Rough Trade, Killer Mike was asked about the future of Run The Jewels and his response has blown everyone’s minds; “Run The Jewels 3. We start work in January.” We haven’t even gotten Meow The Jewels yet, which is alright if it means that they’re working on RTJ3.
Along with that news, El-P mentioned that he and Rage Against the Machine frontman, Zach de la Rocha, will also begin working on something in the future as well.
In 1999 I spent a month in my apartment in Brooklyn with Zack de la Rocha just before he split Rage Against The Machine, working on music that will never see the light of day. I can’t speak about his future but I will say that I’m going to LA to spend another month with him in January.
El-P also wanted to let everyone know that the project is not 100% yet.
please understand the ZDLR thing is not at all %100. y’all gonna fuck it up by jumping the gun on that one. bad luck. BAD LUCK I SAY.
