The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today that the team has reached an agreement with veteran power forward Nick Collison on a two-year, $7.5 million extension — all of it guaranteed. The deal likely ensures Collison will remain with the same franchise his entire career, as he is one of only two remaining holdovers from the Seattle SuperSonics. Collison’s production has dropped off considerably in his 11th season, so, naturally, people are questioning the move (although, this article views the extension in a more favorable light, financially speaking). One of those people skeptical of the move is — and this is important — former ESPN NBA analyst Chris Palmer, who took to Twitter to slam the Thunder’s latest blunder:
Dude who averages 3 pts & 3 rebs gets 2-year/$8M extension. No wonder they won’t make the playoffs.

That didn’t sit well with the second-longest tenured Thunder player, Kevin Durant, who played with Collison for one season in Seattle before moving to Oklahoma.
@ChrisPalmerNBA means a lot coming from a dude who got fired for being a dumbass — Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) February 3, 2015
If you’re wondering what Durant’s accusations are based on, here are a couple of links for you. Better yet, Palmer responded to KD’s tweet, which we hope isn’t the last in our new favorite Twitter beef.
@KDTrey5 Love that you got your teammates back. But you should get your facts straight.
