Drummer Wanted is a mini-documentary about Dean Zimmer, a man who was born with a rare birth defect called athrogryposis. The disease limits the joint movement in its victims legs and arms — in other words, if you have athrogryposis you most likely are not going to be a nasty drummer. Zimmer, despite not being able to walk properly, has done just that.
Despite not being able to walk or have full use of his arms, Zimmer has defied the odds through effort and creativity. He also drives a van with a teardrop window, which is f—-n’ sick.
