Generally speaking the proper tipping etiquette is to give 10% if you aren’t totally satisfied with your service, give 15% if it was satisfactory, give 20% for excellent service and give an envelope full of meth if you are Ryan Bensen and Erica Manley. The attractive couple were out for night of fine dining and drinks at the Twisted Fish Steakhouse. When the check came Bensen, 40, and Manley, 37, paid with a gift card. However instead of giving the waitress a monetary tip they gave her the surprise payment of meth. Not just any old meth though, it was homemade meth, made with love. In case you were questioning the splendor of the Twisted Fish Steakhouse, Steve Keszler, a manager sets the record straight, “She was like ‘Whoa — what the …?’“We’re not a little dive bar or hole in the wall. We’re a classy place.”
The manager called the police and they arrived quickly to arrest the fine diners and found more than 17 ounces of meth in Manley’s purse. The police later searched the couples room at a nearby Holiday Inn Express, where police uncovered a meth lab comprising a small torch, batteries and other items.
If anything positive comes out of this story it’s that Holiday Inn can make an advertisement from the situation, “Are you a meth kingpin? No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.”
