With the American political class focused on the House of Representatives’ latest attempt to elect a new Speaker, the Senate Judiciary Committee convened on Tuesday to hold a hearing about Name, Image and Likeness legislation affecting college athletes.
The hearing got derailed at several points, with a prominent example coming when Josh Hawley, a Republican Senator from Missouri, questioned witnesses about things like the Middle East conflict and transgender athletes.
