The Michigan Wolverines have won the past two matchups against the Ohio State Buckeyes. But to many Ohio State fans, those wins have been tainted by the recent sign-stealing allegations against the Wolverines. And one college football expert thinks this weekend is a perfect opportunity for the Buckeyes to serve “justice” for Michigan’s wrongdoing.
During an appearance on ‘The Tim May Show’ on Thursday, Paul Finebaum discussed the possibility of Ohio State beating Michigan decisively on Saturday afternoon, saying it would be “justice” if the Buckeyes beat the Wolverines and validate the advantage Michigan gained as a result of the sign-stealing.
“It would be great. It would be justice if Ohio State went in there and did what we said a minute ago,” Finebaum said according to On3. “That would be the clearest indication of what I know a lot of your fans believe in Ohio – that Michigan cannot win this game honestly.”
There has been some debate about just how much sign-stealing actually impacted the results of the game, but Finebaum seems to think it was significant based on how poorly the Buckeyes have played against Michigan the past two seasons.
“There has to be a reason. There has to be an explanation of why Ohio State has looked so poor,” Finebaum said.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Saturday’s game plays out.
