The Michigan Wolverines are looking to defend their national title this upcoming season, but it sure won’t be easy given the extraordinarily difficult schedule they will be facing. It’s a pretty brutal situation for the team, especially under a first-year head coach, but Sherrone Moore seems confident in his team’s ability to handle it.
The Wolverines have an early season matchup against the Texas Longhorns, who are expected to be College Football Playoff contenders this season, as well as games against new Big Ten opponents Washington, Oregon, and USC. That’s in addition to the rivalry showdown with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
It’s a tough situation for the defending champions, but new head coach Sherrone Moore seems to be embracing the challenge of every game on the schedule.
“We know we’ve got a great schedule, but we’re not going to look ahead and make one bigger,” Moore said recently according to On3. “They’re all of equal value. We know the standard of the team we have to beat down south and we always express that and work for that, but every team is — every game is a big game. So we’ll treat every season like that.”
Needless to say, it will be a tall task for the Wolverines to defend their title this season, but it seems like Moore is up to the challenge.
