Jalen Milroe will be returning as the starting quarterback of the Alabama Crimson Tide this season, but he will be playing for a new head coach after Nick Saban retired and former Washington Huskies head coach Kalen DeBoer took over. And it sounds like he’s trying his best to adjust.
During a recent appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show, Jalen Milroe opened up about the transition from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer, saying that he and the team are trying their best to simply embrace the change.
“It’s different,” Milroe said according to On3. “Coach Saban was a great coach to all of us. He put us in a position to be successful on and off the field. But now with the transition of Coach DeBoer, we’re all just trying to adjust.
“But the biggest thing we have done is just embrace it, embrace change and also try to get better and try to just buy into the process. And we’re doing a great job with that.”
We’ll have to see how the first season goes under DeBoer as the program tries its best to move forward after the departure of arguably the greatest and most accomplished head coach in college football history.
