The findings from the NCAA investigation into the Michigan Wolverines sign-stealing scandal have not yet been revealed, but it sounds like some of the fallout is starting to be revealed.
According to a report from Football Scoop, Central Michigan Chippewas quarterbacks coach Jake Kostner is not expected to return to the team – just a few weeks out from the beginning of the season – and it sounds like the move is related to an incident last season when infamous Michigan staffer Connor Stalions was photographed on the sideline during the Central Michigan’s game against Michigan State, a future opponent of the Wolverines.
“Jake Kostner, who’s been serving as CMU’s quarterbacks coach, is not expected to remain with the Chips, sources tell FootballScoop. Kostner is a Grand Haven, Michigan, native with deep ties in the state after working four years under former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh as a student-assistant in the Wolverines football program. Kostner also owns previous experience at the University of Texas and Limestone, as well as an earlier stop on the CMU staff and an coaching internship with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns,” Football Scoop reported this week.
Tony Paul of the Detroit News added a bit more context to the Football Scoop report.
In response to a report that CMU QBs coach Jake Kostner is expected to be out over the whole Connor Stalions sideline fiasco (they knew each other from time together at UM), CMU says it's still cooperating with the ongoing NCAA investigation. Kostner still is listed as a staffer.

It seems like this is the first domino to fall as the findings of the NCAA investigation come out.
