Throughout her four-year career with the Iowa Hawkeyes in the college basketball ranks, Caitlin Clark became perhaps the biggest superstar in the history of women’s basketball. She’s now taking her talents to the WNBA where she is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick by the Indiana Fever, but it sounds like she has her sights set on something else as well: the Olympics.

During a recent interview with Today Show, Caitlin Clark made it very clear that she would love to participate in the upcoming Olympic games and represent the United States. She said being selected for the Team USA roster for the upcoming Olympic games would be “a dream come true.”

“That’s one of my dreams as a kid. Growing up, you always want to be an Olympic gold medalist. Lucky enough, I’ve been able to play for a few junior national teams in their basketball system, so I know how special it is to represent USA across your chest,” Clark said on the Today Show. “Being able to do that on the highest level would certainly be a dream come true.”

Obviously, it’s pretty big news that Clark wants to be included on the roster, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

We’ll have to see whether or not Clark gets invited to join Team USA.
