The Baltimore Ravens signed former Pro Bowler Eddie Jackson to a short-term deal on Friday.
Baltimore agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the former Alabama standout. Jackson exited the Chicago Bears this offseason, and after several years in the Windy City, he heads out east.
ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news of the transaction, calling it a “Ravens-type move.”

Jackson joined the Bears after a knee injury eroded the rest of his college career at Alabama. “BoJack” played very well for Chicago, earning two Pro Bowl nods in his career with the Bears.
Now he goes to Baltimore, where they’ve had elite defenses by the barrel. There’ve been many great defensive players on the Ravens in their history, and now Jackson has the chance to become one of them. He might not have to play like Ed Reed or any of their other famed DBs, but he should provide an impact on the field.
In his career, Jackson has played 100 games and has 15 interceptions to his name. He’s scored three touchdowns on defense but hasn’t since the 2018 season. He recorded four interceptions in 2022, a career high.
We’ll see what he has left to offer Baltimore, who’ll be happy to have his services.
