Brandon Aiyuk isn’t the only San Francisco 49ers star with squabbling over their contract.
All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams appears to be disgruntled with his current situation. While much of this offseason’s attention has resided with Aiyuk, Williams also doesn’t appear to be satisfied.
So much so that Williams did not participate in training camp on Wednesday.
ESPN’s 49ers reporter, Nick Wagoner, reported on the status of the talented offensive lineman.
#49ers coach Kyle Shanahan says LT Trent Williams was not at practice because of contract related issues.
John Lynch is working with Williams’ agents to get it worked out.

Williams is an anchor on the 49ers line and one of their most crucial pieces. They acquired him several years back after he had a successful career in Washington. Williams is still pushing forward and is one of the best offensive linemen in the game. He feels he’s underpaid, so he’s not budging quite yet.
The dilemma the 49ers have isn’t quite what the Cowboys have, but it’s still perhaps an issue. But with that said, Williams’ case is different from Aiyuk’s, as he was a no-show on Wednesday.
#49ers LT Trent Williams is a hold OUT. He did not report like Brandon Aiyuk did. He’s subject to $50k per day fines which cannot be forgiven under the CBA because he’s beyond his rookie contract.
