Well there’s a headline you don’t see every day. According to KING 5 TV’s Chris Daniels, Hall of Fame center Bill Russell was arrested Wednesday night at SeaTac Airport after attempting to go through a security screening with a loaded .38-caliber handgun in his carry-on. The 79-year-old Russell, who lives in the Seattle area, has a permit for the gun, but was cited for carrying a weapon in a prohibited area, and the gun was confiscated. Russell has since been released and faces a monetary penalty.
