The Johnny Manziel offseason saga (hopefully)reached its conclusion on Wednesday, when Manziel was suspended for the first half of Texas A&M’s opener against Rice.
ESPN’s Bret McMurphy said the suspension will “close the book” on the Manziel controversy, with the NCAA acknowledging that Manziel did not accept money for autographs.

The penalty is considered very light by many and the deal is a result of the school and the NCAA working out an agreement.
