This was not a souvenir for a lucky fan. In the eighth inning Boston Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks smashed a home run to right field at Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay Rays fans attempted to make a play on the home run, but it went through their hands, bouncing directly to a man who caught it with his face. Much like their fans, the Rays got beat up, losing 9-2 to the Red Sox.
