The Miami Hurricanes have fired coach Randy Shannon this evening and will make the official announcement tomorrow.
No one has done more for Miami in terms of keeping student athletes out of trouble and focusing on school and graduation, but when you’re the coach at “The U” and you lose to South Florida, you’re not going to last long.
Shannon did a great job of connecting with players because of his tough upbringing in the same neighborhoods as a lot of his players as well as his successful playing career at Miami. His coaching record at Miami was 28-22.
