The Little Rock (Ark.) Hall High girls basketball team put on a clinic, of epic proportions, during its 88-0 win over Little Rock (Ark.) Fair High recently. The game was over shortly after it began, and that included the coach of Hall High taking out the starters after just four minutes of play and a 28-0 lead. This is one of those scenario’s where a mercy rule would have helped, but it is very hard to imagine any high school team being unable to toss up even one point during an entire game. I am sure there will be plenty of talk regarding if this was ethical but the winning coach (Selita Farr) did her best to take precautions not to run up the score by not allowing her team to full-court press or apply pressure defense.
