The Detroit Lions have looked dominant throughout the season despite suffering a litany of injuries to many of its critical pieces. Unfortunately, the injuries caught up to Detroit on Sunday, when they were defeated by the Buffalo Bills in a 48-42.

It’s looking like the injury bug hasn’t stopped infecting the Lions’ locker room, per one prominent league insider. Alim McNeill and Carlton Davis left the game with injuries, and the initial reports aren’t ideal

“Lions HC Dan Campbell told reporters the initial belief is that Alim McNeill and Carlton Davis suffered injuries that ‘could be season-ending,'” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“The Lions biggest opponent this year is the injury report,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“We literally don’t have anyone else to step up. There is no next man up,” one Lions fan added on Twitter.

“Aw, man! Things keep breaking against the Lions with these injuries! Tough losses. Feel awful for these two. How they have full recoveries soon,” added another person.

“Wow, that’s so much bigger than losing the game. Offense going to have to play perfect from here on out,” one person added.

“Their defense is so cooked,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Lions respond to having their defense depleted.
