After the Indiana Fever was eliminated from the WNBA Playoffs in the first round last month, Caitlin Clark finally got a little bit of a break from basketball. And it sounds like she’s going to use at least a part of that break competing in a different sport.
On Monday, it was announced that Caitlin Clark would be a special guest at the LPGA’s The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club in Florida next month.
Not only will Clark have the chance to show off her golf skills in the pro-am competition on Wednesday, Nov. 13, but she will also be a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Needless to say, Clark was quite excited about this opportunity.
“I love golf, so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting,” Clark said in a press release according to Golf Week.
“Gainbridge is a leader in supporting women’s sports, and that’s clear through their commitment to me, this event, Billie Jean King, and Parity Week. I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”
We’ll have to see whether or not Clark is able to dominate on the golf course the same way she dominates on the hardwood.
It will be interesting to see if she has good range on the golf course, as well.
