Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is making the rounds.
Wednesday night the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback was seated courtside at a WNBA playoff game. The game, in which the New York Liberty defeated the Las Vegas Aces to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series, had a moment in the second half where the broadcast highlighted celebrities in attendance.
Kaepernick was shown and displayed on the Barclays Center big screen, earning a standing ovation. Kaepernick was listed as a “former quarterback and activist” while he was shown.

Fans took to social media to weigh in on the former quarterback, who hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2016 season.
“You people cheering must hate America,” one person said on Twitter.
“Holy KRAPernick! We had KRAP on-site,” said another.
“hahaha… Colin is such a wannabe… glad he was banned from the National Football League,” someone tweeted.
“Cue triggered conservatives,” someone chimed in.
“Why is he being applauded?” another person asked.
Kaepernick is still a polarizing figure after he made a show of protesting the national anthem. Although it’s unlikely he will ever play in the NFL again after missing so much time, he has no problem going out to enjoy the WNBA playoffs.
