Taylor Swift faced a pretty concerning situation this week when an alleged stalker who made threats against her and her boyfriend Travis Kelce tried to gain access to her concert in Germany. However, her security seemingly identified the threat and police acted swiftly to protect her, sparking comparisons to Donald Trump’s security last weekend.

According to the Associated Press, a 34-year-old American man who made threats against Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce online was detained by police when he tried to enter her concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany this week.

“The suspected stalker, a 34-year-old whose name wasn’t released, had a ticket to Swift’s concert at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins-Arena on Wednesday, police said in a statement. They said that, because an initial investigation couldn’t entirely rule out a risk, he was detained during entry checks to the event,” the Associated Press reported.

“Police said the man had made threats against Swift and her partner on social media. They said he had been detained following tips from organizers of the event.”

Police say that the man will be detained until after her concerts in the city are over for her protection.

The actions of her security team and the law enforcement officers led to a lot of comparisons to the Secret Service when they failed to protect former United States President Donald Trump, allowing a shooter to fire on the former president and nearly kill him.

Needless to say, many people concluded that Taylor Swift actually has better security than Donald Trump.

This is certainly not the first time Swift has dealt with a stalker. She even wrote about her stalkers in her new song “The Bear.” So it’s safe to say her security is used to situations like this.
